Locate your license key

After purchase, Keynero sends your 25-character product key to your email within minutes. Check your inbox, and spam folder, for an email from support@keynero.com. Your key is also accessible from your account under Orders.

Check spam/junk if not in inbox within 15 minutes
Always copy-paste the key, never type it manually

Sign in at setup.office.com

Open any browser and go to setup.office.com, Microsoft's official redemption portal. Sign in with your personal Microsoft account (Outlook.com, Hotmail or Live). Create a free account first if you don't have one.

Enter your product key

Once signed in, Microsoft prompts you for your product key. Copy and paste it directly from your email, hyphens are inserted automatically. Click Next to continue.

The key is not case-sensitive
Watch for look-alike characters: B↔8, O↔0, G↔6

Select country & language

Choose your country or region and preferred language. This determines which version of Office is downloaded. You can change the Office display language at any time via File → Options → Language.

Download & install Office

Click Install Office. The installer (~1.8 GB) downloads to your Downloads folder. Run the .exe file, you may be prompted for Administrator access. The setup wizard completes in 5–15 minutes.

Open Office, you're all set!

Launch Word, Excel or PowerPoint. If prompted to sign in, use the same Microsoft account from Step 2. Office activates automatically, no subscription, no expiry. Your license is permanent.

Mistakes to avoid

Typing instead of copy-pasting

Characters like B/8, O/0 and G/6 look identical. Always paste your key directly from the email.

Using a work or school account

Retail licenses require a personal Microsoft account (Outlook.com, Hotmail, Live), not a work or school account.

Active VPN during activation

If you're behind a VPN, disable it temporarily during activation to avoid region errors.
